Cal, 8 month old Irish Setter puppy

Posted in Photography by daybf on January 8, 2011

I spent Christmas in Upland, California where a lot of my dad’s side of the family lives and got to meet my grandparent’s new puppy Cal. He’s an 8 month old Irish Setter that is basically a lanky fluff of energy! My family’s dog Joya (pronounced “hoy-ya” joya means “jewel” in spanish) played the role of the annoyed adult dog and constantly put Cal in his place. I think the photos speak for themselves:

I’ll end with a square crop of my favorite:

i just came across your photography– it’s a really nice collection!
we’re starting an animal photo contest @ http://animalconscious.wordpress.com/

the winner ea. month gets $50 donated in their name to their fave animal charity (we’re a young company, so it’s only $50)

in all honesty, we just started & we’re really desperate for submissions. if you email your pics of Joya to avtanimalconscious@gmail.com along w/ your favored animal charity, you’ll have a great chance of winning!

anyway, sorry to be so blatantly promotional…
    great photo collection!!

Thank you for the props and the contest suggestion! It’s a fun idea to have money donated as the prize.
